01 — The clinic

We are Ergolz Klinik

Anyone in the region searching for a “heart centre in Liestal” usually means us: Ergolz Klinik, the cardiology clinic of the Cardiance Group at Hammerstrasse 35. We offer both under one roof — non-invasive diagnostics and invasive procedures in our own cardiac catheterisation laboratory.

What sets us apart from a hospital is the way we work. We are an outpatient clinic: you arrive in the morning, are examined or treated, and go home the same day. No hospital bed, no overnight stay, no changing shifts. More than 95 per cent of diagnostic procedures are carried out this way.

It also means we are not an emergency department and have no cardiac surgery on site. If you have acute symptoms, the rule is always: call 144. For treatment that requires inpatient facilities, we work with partner hospitals in the region.

In addition to Liestal, the Cardiance Group runs a second site in Pfäffikon SZ. Both clinics are looked after by the same team of doctors and work to the same standards.

First appointments are usually possible within 48 hours on working days. Our patient administration team will respond to your enquiry within one working day. If you have acute symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath, always call 144 immediately — not the clinic.

We clarify your situation during the initial consultation and contact your health insurer if anything is unclear.

Not necessarily. We perform planned diagnostic cardiac catheterisations as outpatient procedures in Liestal — you arrive in the morning and go home again the same day.
